SMALL BITE: Bambara is located inside Hotel Monaco in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is housed in the historic Continental Bank lobby, and bills itself as a “New American Bistro,” with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and ranches.
SIGNATURE DISHES: Grilled Filet Mignon with seasoned vegetables, Bambara New York Strip Steak Strip with Herbed Frites, Cast-Iron Herbed Chicken with Shrimp, and Blue Cheese Chips.
DISH FROM DINERS: “A wonderful surprise, and one of the best meals I have had in Salt Lake City. The atmosphere was formal, but not stuffy. The service was prompt, but not overdone.” And this: “Well it happened. I can die now. What’s really the point of living when you know you have had all life has to give you. … I’m sure the chef was surprised when i walked back into his kitchen, interrupting the whole meal service to stand in front of him. … I just hugged the man, and whispered, “Thank you” in his ear.”
