SMALL BITE: This cozy pub and restaurant is located inside Stone Harbor, a family-owned resort and conference center in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, in legendary Door County—also known as the Cape Cod of the Midwest. The restaurant serves up amazing views of Sturgeon Bay. Ask for a table by the window.
SIGNATURE DISH: The dinner menu offers a great selection of steak and seafood. The Cedar Plank Salmon is a popular dish, baked right on a cedar board over mushrooms and topped with asparagus and hollandaise. If you are not in the mood for a big meal, you’ll find a generous offering of soups, salads and sandwiches, too. The New England Clam Chowder is a MUST-TRY!
DISH FROM DINERS: “Ate a delicious breakfast in their restaurant. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Did not think it was pricey at all. Will be staying here every time I’m in Sturgeon Bay. Great resort!” AND: “Steak and perch both excellent! Menu looked great and was hard to make a decision. Like Florida in Wisconsin.”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Stone Harbor Resort was named “Best Lakeshore Resort” at Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism. The pub is quite lively, with live music on the weekends and Packer parties on game days. It is also a popular wedding destination.
