SMALL BITE: You’ll find Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails on the fifth floor of one of Seattle’s newest hotels, Motif (formerly the Red Lion Inn). SIGNATURE DISH(ES): White Cheddar Breakfast Grits, French Onion Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup with crunchy bread, gooey cheese and caramelized onions(pictured above), and Seared Salmon. The signature cocktail is the Frolik Mai Tai, with Captain Morgan white and spiced rums, roasted pecan orgeat, pineapple, orange and a float of kraken dark rum.
THE DISH FROM DINERS: “Frolik is one of those hidden Seattle gems that you find yourself so happy for having discovered when you finally do find your way there. This place is definitely not your run-of-the-mill bar as it raises the cool quotient to a new level.” And, “I had the blue cheese and bacon fries and for $6 they were worth it!”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Outside on the largest outdoor patio in downtown Seattle, you can sit near a roaring gas fire — so you can check out Seattle’s beautiful night skyline and stay warm, too.
