SMALL BITE: Print Works Bistro is an elegant restaurant adjacent to the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina. It specializes in traditional and modern versions of European Bistro dishes, using seasonal ingredients sourced within 150-miles.  Once a year, Print Works Bistro hosts a sell-out event called, “Build Your Own Bordeaux,” where diners pay up to $100 to mix their own Bordeaux and create their own label. The creative concoctions are judged by sommeliers, who award the winner free wine, food and an overnight stay valued at $300.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:  Proximity Hotel and Print Works Bistro were the first in the U.S.  hospitality industry to be certified LEED Platinum by the U.S. Green Building Council. Wednesday nights are “Mussels-Wine-Music Night,” where diners can indulge in the chef’s renowned mussels for only $15 and choose between five different wines from $10 to $15 per bottle, while listening to live acoustic music.
